Toronto stocks slip as commodity prices weigh

TORONTO Aug 14 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index closed slightly lower on Thursday as easing commodity prices weighed on resource shares, but provided a boost for the wider market.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed down 24.48 points, or 0.18 percent, at 13,352.74. (Reporting by Leah Schnurr; editing by Rob Wilson)
