Toronto stock index falls 100 pts on commodities

TORONTO Aug 15 (Reuters) - Toronto Stock Exchange's main index fell 100 points on Friday as a slump in commodity prices hit energy and materials stocks.

Shortly after the open, the S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 100.18, or 0.75 percent, at 13,258.73. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; Editing by Jeffrey Jones)
