Toronto stocks jump 100 pts on commodities surge

TORONTO, Aug 18 (Reuters) - Toronto Stock Exchange's main index opened more than 100 points higher on Monday, as investors scooped up energy and materials stocks after a slump in commodity prices last week.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 107.82, or 0.8 percent, at 13,204.52. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; Editing by Scott Anderson)
