Toronto stock index falls 100 points on financials

TORONTO, Aug 19 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange’s main index fell 100 points on Tuesday morning, tugged lower by financial stocks as concerns over the credit crisis and the U.S. economic outlook took hold.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 100.26 points, or 0.8 percent, at 13,019.11. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; Editing by Peter Galloway)
