TORONTO, Sept 4 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange’s main index slumped sharply for a third day in a row on Thursday, giving up more than 2 percent on a retreat in oil prices and more worries over U.S. economic health.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 302.30 points, or 2.3 percent, at 12,835.42. (Reporting by Leah Schnurr; editing by Rob Wilson)
