Toronto stock index rises 100 points

TORONTO, Sept 12 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange’s main index pushed 100 points higher on Friday morning, powered by strength in energy and materials stocks, which rose along with commodity prices.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 101.72 points, or 0.81 percent, at 12,714.48 (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; Editing by Peter Galloway)
