Toronto stocks get big boost from financials

TORONTO, Sept 18 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange’s main index rallied more than 300 points on Thursday after the world’s top central banks injected billions of dollars into markets and on optimism about a possible plan to resolve the financial crisis.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed up 324.59 points, or 2.73 percent, at 12,202.28. (Reporting by Natasha Elkington; editing by Rob Wilson)
