Toronto stocks falter on U.S. bailout uncertainty

TORONTO, Sept 24 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index ended slightly lower on Wednesday, pressured by resources that eased off earlier gains and made anxious by concerns over the timing of the U.S. bailout plan.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed down 16.77 points, or 0.13 percent, at 12,515.86. (Reporting by Leah Schnurr; Editing by Peter Galloway)
