Toronto stocks skid on RIM, U.S. bailout worries

TORONTO, Sept 26 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index slammed lower on Friday, hit by a softer forecast from Research In Motion RIM.TO, tumbling resource shares and uncertainty surrounding the U.S. financial bailout plan.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 501.08 points, or 3.99 percent, at 12,045.43 at midday. (Reporting by Leah Schnurr; editing by Rob Wilson)
