Toronto stock index sinks 6.6 pct as US House votes
TORONTO, Sept 29 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index was down 800 points on Monday afternoon -- tumbling 300 points in just over five minutes -- as the U.S. House started voting on the financial industry bailout plan and as oil prices dropped.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 800.64 points, or 6.6 percent, at 11,325.36. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; editing by Peter Galloway)
