REFILE-Toronto stock index dives 300 points at open

TORONTO Oct 6 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index tumbled at the open on Monday as investors worried about the global credit crisis, a brokerage forecast a recession in Canada, and the price of oil fell.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE fell 308.17 points, or 2.85 percent, to 10,495.18 after the market open.
