Toronto stock index sinks 4.33 pct on commodities

TORONTO Oct 16 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index sank 400 points on Thursday morning as commodity prices dived on recession fears.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE dropped 403.75 points, or 4.33 percent, to 8,920.10. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; Editing by Peter Galloway)
