CANADA STOCKS-Key index rises at open, oils lead
TORONTO Oct 23 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index rose 2.2 percent just after the market open on Thursday, with energy issues gaining on higher oil prices and better than expected quarterly results from some oil companies.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 205.00 points, or 2.22 percent, at 9,441.88, with all 10 of its main groups higher.
