CANADA STOCKS-Key index rallies 2.3 percent

TORONTO, Oct 29 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange’s main index jumped more than 2 percent on Wednesday morning as commodity stocks got a boost from underlying prices, and on hopes the U.S. Federal Reserve and other central banks would cut interest rates to try to further to jolt the sluggish global economy.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 209.99 points, or 2.29 percent, at 9,361.62. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; Editing by Peter Galloway)
