CANADA STOCKS-Commodities, Fed rate-cut hopes extend rally
TORONTO Oct 29 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index rose 3 percent on Wednesday as commodity prices climbed and hopes were high that the U.S. Federal Reserve and other central banks would cut interest rates to try to revive the sluggish global economy.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 301.55 points, or 3.3 percent, at 9,453.18. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; Editing by Peter Galloway)
