CANADA STOCKS-TSX up 100 pts on financials, miners
TORONTO Nov 3 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index rose 100 points midday on Monday, led by strength in financial services and mining stocks due to optimism that the global recession expected next year will be short and shallow.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE rose 103.67 points, or 1.06 percent, to 9,866.43. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; Editing by Peter Galloway)
