CANADA STOCKS-Key index climbs higher on commodities

TORONTO, Nov 4 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange’s main index was up 4 percent at midday on Tuesday as energy and materials issues rose along with higher oil and metals prices.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 400.41 points, or 4.12 percent, at 10,121.67, climbing above the 10,000 level for the first time since Oct 21. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; editing by Rob Wilson)
