CANADA STOCKS-Index sheds 3 pct on weak oil, metals

TORONTO Nov 6 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index sank 3 percent on Thursday morning as energy and commodity issues fell along with oil and base metal prices, which were pressured by demand concerns.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE fell 300.41 points, or 3.04 percent, to 9,586.79. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; Editing by Peter Galloway)
