CANADA STOCKS-Index extends losses as resources slump

TORONTO, Nov 6 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange’s main index sank more than 4 percent by late Thursday morning as energy and commodity issues fell along with oil prices, which were pressured by demand concerns and economic gloom.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 406.26 points, or 4.11 percent, at 9,480.94. (Reporting by Ka Yan Ng; editing by Rob Wilson)
