TORONTO, Nov 13 (Reuters) - Toronto Stock Exchange's main index sank more than 2 percent on Thursday afternoon as commodity stocks fell on demand concerns and financials slid on uncertainty after Washington backed away from using a big bailout fund to buy up toxic mortgages.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 201.52 points, or 2.26 percent, to C$8,721.05. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; Editing by Peter Galloway)
