CANADA STOCKS-TSX tumbles on financials, commodities

TORONTO, Nov 17 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index slumped 3 percent on Monday as financial services and commodity-related issues were pulled down by gloomy sentiment from a faltering world economy.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed down 268.75 points, or 2.97 percent, at 8,787.21. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; editing by Rob Wilson)
