CANADA STOCKS-TSX up 1 percent at open on Fed package

TORONTO, Nov 25 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange’s main index rose more than 1 percent just after the open on Tuesday as sentiment improved after the U.S. Federal Reserve announced an aid package designed to help bolster consumer lending.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE rose 113.37 points, or 1.34 percent, to 8,554.24. (Reporting by Ka Yan Ng; Editing by Peter Galloway)
