TORONTO, Nov 25 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange’s main index fell more than 1 percent in choppy trading on Tuesday as the energy group caught up with a decline in the price of oil and as enthusiasm dissipated for a U.S. Federal Reserve aid package designed to help bolster consumer lending.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE lost 116.43 points, or 1.38 percent, to 8,324.44. (Reporting by Ka Yan Ng; editing by Rob Wilson)
