CANADA STOCKS-TSX up 3.5 percent as financials rise
TORONTO Nov 28 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index rose 300 points on Friday afternoon as Canadian financials tracked U.S. stocks, which rose on investor optimism that stimulus efforts unveiled this week would boost the economy.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 308.58 points, or 3.5 percent, at 9,062.35. Trading was muted with U.S. markets open only a half day. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; editing by Peter Galloway)
