CANADA STOCKS-TSX extends fall on oil price drop

TORONTO, Dec 4 (Reuters) - Toronto Stock Exchange’s main index was down more than 100 points on Thursday afternoon on weakness in energy issues as oil dropped below $44 a barrel on fears a bleak world economic outlook will hit demand.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 102.50 points, or 1.24 percent, at 8,194.46 (Reporting by Frank Pingue; editing by Peter Galloway)
