CANADA STOCKS-Toronto index opens higher on commodities
TORONTO Dec 15 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index opened higher on Monday as oil rose sharply on expectations OPEC will agree on a deep supply cut this week to prop up prices, and as metals prices were firmer, boosting mining shares.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 85.94 points, or 1.01 percent, at 8,601.39. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; editing by Peter Galloway)
