CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens slightly lower before Fed decision

TORONTO, Dec 16 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index opened slightly lower on Tuesday ahead of a U.S. Federal Reserve announcement on interest rates, with expectations that it will cut rates.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 25.78 points, or 0.3 percent, at 8,436.05. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; editing by Peter Galloway)
