CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens lower after day-long halt
TORONTO Dec 18 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index fell at the open on Thursday, led lower by energy stocks as the price of oil tumbled.
Trading commenced after the Toronto Stock Exchange was shut down all of Wednesday due to a technical glitch linked to data feeds.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 127.44 points, or 1.46 percent, at 8,596.67 at the open. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; editing by Peter Galloway)
