CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens lower as oils, golds weigh

TORONTO, Jan 7 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index opened sharply lower on Wednesday after a six days of gains, pulled lower by oil and gold shares as commodity prices dropped.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 204.36 points, or 2.16 percent, at 9,267.73. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; editing by Peter Galloway)
