TORONTO, Jan 7 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index closed sharply lower on Wednesday as oil and gold shares slid with commodity prices and profit-taking set in after six sessions of gains.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed down 346.74 points, or 3.66 percent, at 9,125.35. All 10 main groups were in the red.
