CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens down, energy tracks oil price lower
TORONTO Jan 8 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index fell more than 1 percent shortly after market open on Thursday as the energy sector tracked oil prices lower.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE dropped 101.24 points, or 1.1 percent, to 9,020.08. Nine of the index's 10 main groups were in negative territory.
