CANADA STOCKS-TSX ends higher after volatile session

TORONTO, Jan 16 (Reuters) - Toronto's key stock index finished higher on Friday after a seesaw session in which the financial sector was pressured by heightened concern about the health of the U.S. banking sector.

The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed up 0.68 percent, or 60.25 points, at 8,939.86. (Reporting by Ka Yan Ng; editing by Peter Galloway)
