TORONTO, Jan 20 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index unraveled an early gain and was pinned nearly 2.5 percent lower early on Tuesday as worries about the world economy rattled the weighty financial sector.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 216.98 points, or 2.45 percent, at 8,624.50. Nine of the TSX's 10 sectors were lower. (Reporting by Frank Pingue; editing by Peter Galloway)
