TORONTO, Jan 21 (Reuters) - Toronto’s key stock index was down more than 100 points late on Wednesday morning as nagging worries about the global economy shook weighty financial shares while a turn lower in oil prices pulled down energy issues.

At 10:58 a.m. (1558 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 103.59 points, or 1.22 percent, at 8,401.34. Earlier, the TSX had been up as much as 1 percent. (Reporting by Frank Pingue; editing by Peter Galloway)
