CANADA STOCKS-TSX gets early boost as banks lead rally
TORONTO Jan 26 (Reuters) - Toronto's key stock index got off to a strong start on Monday as weighty financial shares, which have been beaten down recently on concerns about a weak global economy, bounced higher.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 101.57 points, or 1.18 percent, at 8,729.54 shortly after the open. Eight of the TSX's 10 sectors were higher. (Reporting by Frank Pingue)
