CANADA STOCKS-Toronto stocks turn negative as materials sag

TORONTO, Jan 26 (Reuters) - Toronto's key stock index turned negative on Monday afternoon, led lower by the materials sector.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 4.18 points, or 0.05 percent, to 8,623.79, after being up nearly 2 percent earlier in the session. (Reporting by John McCrank; editing by Rob Wilson)
