TORONTO, Jan 27 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index opened higher on Tuesday in a broad rally, though the heavily weighted commodities groups kept a lid on gains.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE opened up 27.54 points, or 0.32 percent, at 8,684.05. Eight of the index's 10 main groups advanced.
