TORONTO, Jan 30 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index shot higher at the open on Friday in a broad-based rally led by the weighty energy sector, which rose along with the price of oil, a key Canadian export.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE rose 129.44 points, or 1.48 percent, at 8,892.20 at the open. All 10 of the TSX's subindexes were higher. (Reporting by Frank Pingue)
