CANADA STOCKS-TSX rises 2 percent, resources lead charge
TORONTO Feb 4 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index rose 2 percent in late morning dealings as resource companies led the charge on strength in underlying commodity prices.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE rose 2 percent, or 172.35 points, to 8,800.98. Only the consumer staples group was lower amongst the 10 main groups. (Reporting by Ka Yan Ng; Editing by Jeffrey Hodgson)
