CANADA STOCKS-TSX rises, then turns negative after market open
TORONTO Feb 9 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index rose on Monday at the open, then quickly turned negative, as weakness in materials and financials overtook support from the energy group.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 1.74 points at 9,006.28 shortly after the open. Six of the index's 10 main groups were lower. (Reporting by Ka Yan Ng; Editing by Jeffrey Hodgson)
