CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens higher on resource strength

TORONTO, Feb 11 (Reuters) - Toronto’s main stock market index rose on Wednesday morning, helped higher by strength in resource issues, which were boosted by firmness in underlying commodity prices.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE rose 33.24 points, 0.38 percent, at 8,851.13, with nine of its 10 main groups higher. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; Editing by Jeffrey Hodgson)
