CANADA STOCKS-TSX slides 3 pct as oils, financials weigh
TORONTO Feb 17 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index extended its fall at midday on Tuesday, as resource issues slumped on falling oil and base metal prices, and as reports fanned worries about a deepening global recession.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 263.61 points, or 3.04 percent, at 8,414.49, with nine of its 10 main groups lower. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; editing by Rob Wilson)
