CANADA STOCKS-TSX drops 1 percent, gold miners lead slide
TORONTO Feb 23 (Reuters) - Toronto's key stock index was down more than 1 percent late on Monday morning as a slide in gold prices rattled mining shares, while financial shares relinquished early gains.
At 11:37 a.m. (1637 GMT), the S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 80.63 points, or 1.01 percent, at 7,869.36. Earlier, the TSX had rallied as much as 1.03 percent.
