CANADA STOCKS-TSX gains broadly at open, led by oil
TORONTO Feb 24 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index rose more than 1 percent at the open on Tuesday in a broad gain led by energy and financial issues.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE rose 87.01 points, or 1.14 percent, to 7,734.68. Nine of the index's 10 main groups advanced, but the falling price of gold put pressure on the materials group. (Reporting by Ka Yan Ng; Editing by Peter Galloway)
