CANADA STOCKS-TSX turns negative as gold prices drop

TORONTO Feb 24 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index turned negative on Tuesday morning after broad early gains fizzled out, and lower gold prices helped pull down materials shares.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 0.43 points to 7,647.24. (Reporting by Ka Yan Ng; Editing by Peter Galloway)
