CANADA STOCKS-TSX rises 2 pct on oil, financials

TORONTO Feb 25 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index extended its gains on Wednesday afternoon as energy shares rose on stronger oil prices, while financials got a boost from better than expected results from Toronto-Dominion Bank (TD.TO: Quote).

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE climbed 159.09 points, or 2 percent, to 8,018.42. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan)
