CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens higher as financials climb

TORONTO, March 11 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index opened higher on Wednesday, extending a 4 percent jump in the previous session, as financials led the market higher on hopes for stabilization in the U.S. banking sector.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE rose 49.27 points, or 0.63 percent, to 7,929.68. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; Editing by Peter Galloway)
