CANADA STOCKS-TSX rises 2 percent as banks rally

TORONTO, March 11 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index rose 2 percent on Wednesday morning on strength in financial issues, adding to a sharp rally in the previous session on hope of stabilization in the U.S. banking sector.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 161.19 points, or 2.05 percent, at 8,041.60. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; editing by Rob Wilson)
