CANADA STOCKS-Gold miners help lift TSX to higher close
TORONTO, March 11 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index closed higher for a second straight session on Wednesday as rising bullion prices helped lift gold-mining issues, which more than offset a weaker energy sector.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed up 132.83 points, or 1.69 percent, at 8,013.24. The rise follows Tuesday's 4 percent gain and marks TSX's first back-to-back higher closes in two weeks. (Reporting by Frank Pingue; editing by Rob Wilson)
