CANADA STOCKS-TSX drops sharply as oil slides

TORONTO, March 27 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index opened lower on Friday, pressured by weakness in commodities and profit-taking after logging big gains this week.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 111.89 points, or 1.24 percent, at 8,883.61. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan' editing by Peter Galloway)
